We conduct a 1 hour interactive discussion
of the NINJA 'Seishin Teki Kyoyo' (knowing oneself) and the SAMURAI 'Bushido' Code
(Technically the 'Sanji Itto' circa 1380, Traditional Samurai Warrior values).
The words Seishin Teki Kyoyo above simply means training to become a better
person, with good values and beliefs, being positive and productive.
also be called Enlightenment or understanding yourself and the world we
Conducted by a Warrior dressed in traditional Samurai 'Yoroi' (armour).
topics covered are:
Brief history of the two most charismatic figures of Japanese culture.
Samurai Values - respect, discipline, honour, compassion and courage.
Ninja Values - community spirit, balance of self and life, fitness and health
Nin = Perseverance, Ninja = person of Perseverance, Ninjutsu = art of Perseverance !
Teaching our Roku Daijin (6 great characters) concept of 'Sanshin' (3 hearts) - Body (balance of fit on outside & healthy on inside), Mind (balance of academic study & worldly knowledge) and Mind (balance of courage & compassion)
plus the 'Sanhimitsu' (3 secrets) - being of good thought, word and deed.
Also discussed - bullying, consequence, right and wrong, reality and falsehood,
reward and the concept of Karma.
All we need is 1 hour per class (classes can be doubled up, max 80), in class rooms or an Assembly Hall or Gymnasium for one or two days (depending on how many students).
This is a great way to introduce the concept of consequence and responsibility for ones own actions to the students, developing an understanding of the benefits of being positive, compassionate and responsible in a fun interesting way that children can understand and accept.
We don't just tell them to be 'good' . . . we explain 'what's in it for them' !
We explain what they get out of these values, that makes them worth living by !
Unlike Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Judo etc. we are not sports fighting orientated or competitive. We do not promote fighting.
We promote being balanced in life, achieving happiness through compassion for others, nature and the universe. 'Winning' not by becoming the best 'fighter' . . .
but by becoming the best you . . . you can be !
Every child gets a work sheet on the Warrior Codes !
Just $3.30 per student ! Minimum 150 students per school.
(small schools - less than 150, enquire anyway as we can 'add you' to a nearby school to make up the numbers)
Bookings are essential . . . this program is very, very popular !
Please go to our
contact us page to enquire or book this program.
Please note: This program is not religious or politically biased.
Note: this program can be added to any other NINJA KIDS program, for our other fitness and activity programs see
Active Aussie - Let's Try
Karate, Kick Boxing, Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do etc.
Note: other martial arts may offer similar . . . however we are the only authentic Ninja/Samurai organisation offering these programs, other martial arts systems have no true
Note: Karate is from Okinawa, it is not Japanese and is not related to the Samurai !
Friendly bit of advice: having a Karate or one of these other organisation teaching/promoting
'Bushido Values' and/or 'Samurai' or 'Ninja' Martial Arts skills is like having a Rugby coach teach
Soccer, they both teach what is called football (in our case martial arts) and both have merit as
'football' coaches but if you want real 'soccer' skills, you would surely choose the coach that
practices 'real' soccer . . .
which coach would you choose !
OUR formal 'Samurai' pedigree is based on
SHINDEN FUDO RYU, KUKISHINDEN RYU and TAKAGI YOSHIN RYU
(Samurai family clan schools)
Our formal 'Ninja' pedigree is based on
TOGAKURE RYU NINPO, KUMOGAKURE RYU NINPO and GYOKUSHIN RYU NINPO
(Ninja family clan schools)
Our other formal 'Samurai related' Japanese Martial Arts pedigrees are based on
KOTO RYU KOPPOJUTSU, GYOKKO RYU KOSHIJUTSU and GIKAN RYU KOPPOJUTSU
(Japanese family clan schools)
These nine 'ryu' (schools) of martial art
of which the oldest dates back to the 600's that our teachings are based on ended up in the hands of the
Toda clan from the early 1600's on and were taught to Toda clan members only until approximately 60 years ago when 'the last true ninja' (as recognised by the Japanese government) known as
Takamatsu, Toshitsugu Uoh (studying these arts from 1907 to 1972, born 1887 - died 1972, O'Sensei Takamatsu was the last of the direct Toda clan bloodline), he decided that from 1968 on, his student
Hatsumi, Masaaki (Yoshiaki), (born 1931 - the current 'Soke' - Grand Master) would open these arts up to
good character to enlighten the world.
Soke Masaaki Hatsumi is recognised by the Japanese Government and the Emperor of Japan as the
Grand Master of the only remaining authentic 'Ninja' school. The nine arts are now collectively known as the 'Bujinkan' (Divine Warrior Hall), Soke has received many international awards, awarded many honorary titles by many governments, law enforcement organisations and military groups, he's even received a Papal blessing for his work in promoting world peace . . .
